Greyhound Pets of America Northwest, the group which we adopted Gordon from, is holding their 5th Annual Christmas Tree Sale on Saturday, December 6th from 9am-4pm. They will have small to large trees, all Noble Fir, and all for only $35. There will be an outdoor firpit, homemade doggie cookies, hot chocolate and milled spiced wine at Quinn’s and holiday cookies at Sweet Ambrosia Bakery. All proceeds go towards the adoption group, which rescues greyhounds who would otherwise be euthanized after their racing careers are over. Unfortunately, their former treasurer embezzled nearly $20,000 (or ALL of the savings from their fund-raising events) earlier this year.

>We recently shot Kim & John’s wedding at First United Methodist and the Portland Art Museum. The wedding turned out amazing thanks to all the hard work of Kim’s mom Laura, who coordinated a lot of the wedding while Kim & John were out of state finishing up their pharmaceutical degrees, and to Molli Barss, one of Portland’s most talented wedding coordinators from Soiree.

Joseph’s Dessert Company (who made our wedding cake too!) made their cake and Fusion of Lake Oswego create all the floral arrangements and bouquets. The Salem Big Band provided the music and it was a great party, they really kept everyone dancing! Altogether it was a fabulous day for a really wonderful couple!

We were very honored to document Samantha & Jason’s wedding weekend in the beautiful Napa Valley. We flew into Oakland on a Friday morning, picked up our car and headed north to Calistoga. Our accommodations were way above & beyond what we typically require for a destination wedding. Christopher’s Inn is a fantastic B & B at the north end of the valley. The rooms were amazing and the homemade breakfast delivered to your door in a basket was the perfect start to the day. Highly recommended!

Sam & Jason’s ceremony and reception were at Meadowood in St. Helena. Meadowood’s accommodations, service and attention to detail are second to none. Lori, the on site wedding coordinator, and her entire team made the day flow by seamlessly. The ceremony, presided over by Reverend Peadar Dalton, was beautiful, fun & emotional.

All of the wedding vendors were fantastic. The flowers by Pat Friday at Friday Flowers were simple, beautiful & elegant. The cake by Perfect Endings was, well… perfect & delicious! Ceremony music by Lawrence Strings and reception entertainment by City Lights Band were also top notch. We couldn’t be more impressed with everyone.

We shot Jessica (one of our seniors from several years ago) & Swede’s wedding day photos back in September. We had a beautiful day and got some of the best reflection pictures we have ever taken at the Temple. We also went to George Rogers Park in Lake Oswego to take some shots by the river.

We shot Ahna & Kyle’s Engagement photos a few weeks ago at the Rose Gardens, then headed downtown to the Pearl District to finish up. Here are some of our favorite shots from their session…
