The Portland Bridal Show was a great success this weekend! We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth. We handed out more than 2200 brochures over the weekend. For those of you who did not book a consult at the show, our show special of $200 off any package if you book before February 1st still applies.

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Lillypilly Floral Artistry who did an amazing job on our booth floral arrangement. Wendy and Lindsi are so talented, they are two of the very best floral designers in Portland. They did our wedding flowers two years ago and they truly go above and beyond for their clients.  

Our good friends Scott and Amanda from Ambient Sky also had a booth at the Portland Bridal Show. Ambient Sky are international award winning cinematographers that create some of the coolest wedding films you’ll see (they shot ours!). They are one of the few local film companies that offer same day edits. A same day edit is a short highlight film that they actually create on the day of your wedding and play at your reception. Check out all their latest work on their blog. We offer a special for couples that book us both within a week of each other. You will receive $100 off of your video package and an additional $100 off of your photography package. 

The Miss America Pageant is coming up this Saturday, January 24th (on TLC) and we would like to say good luck to Danijela, our very own Miss Oregon! She has been on Countdown to the Crown, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that she will take home that crown on Saturday.

We would also like to congratulate Sylvie on winning the Miss Oregon USA crown recently, and wish her all the best in the Miss USA Pageant coming up on April 19th on NBC. If you are interested in competing for any of the local titles which can lead to becoming the next Miss Oregon or Miss Oregon USA, check out the Miss Portland website. Did you ever wonder what 45 minutes of setting up a bridal show booth looks like time-lapsed to just over a minute? Probably not! If you’re curious though, here we are setting up for the Portland Bridal Show.

We shot Amanda & Richie’s wedding this past Saturday at beautiful Lewis River Golf Course in Woodland, WA. Kari and the staff at Lewis River were amazing as always and the wedding day went without a hitch. Amanda wore an elegant lace gown and looked stunning! After some dress “hiccups” with another dress store, AniA Collection in downtown Portland came to the rescue to make sure the dress was ready in time and was able to get her matching long veil on short notice.

Lamb’s Thriftway in Wilsonville provided both the cake (super tasty!) and flowers. Amanda had a hand-tied bouquet with several shades of red roses and small pearls embellishing the wrap. Michael, one of our favorite DJ’s, from Completely Sound provided both the ceremony and reception music. Richie’s daughter Taylor entertained everyone with an impromptu dance routine during the reception too.

After four years on the waiting list, we are in the Portland Bridal Show! The show is at the convention center on January 17th and 18th. Our booth is going to be a corner one, located in the lobby, right at the entrance to the main hall. We are having some super specials for the show, so be sure to come by and check out the booth! We are also going to be holding a drawing for your choice of a pre-bridal portrait or a Trash the Dress session after your wedding. There will be a winner drawn both days. We will be posting the winners photos on the blog after their sessions of course!

We will have our new Couture albums at the show, both the Milan and the Tokyo. The Milan is the 8×20 album that opens to a full 16×20 spread with pages that have a heavy palette texture. The response to this album has been AMAZING, some of our brides from the latter part of 2008 switched to this album once they saw it. The Tokyo is beautiful album, handcrafted with Japanese silk covers and ribbon bound. It is a matted album, with ivory pages and deckled edges.
