Justin and I were in Las Vegas last week for the WPPI Convention (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International, more on that later!) and our fabulous couple Emily and Justin flew in so we could shoot their engagement session. They decided they would like a vintage feel for their photos, so chose some killer costumes and Emily had her hair and makeup done by a professional. We started off the day at the Neon Boneyard, a museum where many of the old Vegas Strip signs are stored. It is an amazing place to shoot and although we only had an hour there, we got some great shots! Next we went out to Red Rock Canyon, which is an unbelievably beautiful park, about 25 minutes west of the Strip. After shooting there for a little while (it was COLD!) we headed back to Fremont Street, stopping on the way to get this amazing scenic of the mountains, just as the sun was going down.
We actually got booted out of the covered part of Fremont street, by a zealous security guard on a Segway. Not daunted, we wandered down towards the El Cortez (yikes!) and got some great neon shots. Here are some of our picks from the shoot…
