Hillary and Alex came all the way from Philadelphia to get married on 01-01-10 at Hotel Deluxe in Portland Oregon. Hotel Deluxe is one of our favorite wedding venues because there are so many cool elements for photography, not to mention the amazing service and style! We were so lucky to be working with a bunch of our closest wedding friends which helped the day go by wonderfully.

Maria & Kurt’s Wedding at First Baptist Church and the Acadian Ballroom, Portland OR

Maria & Kurt got married at First Baptist Church in Portland on June 27th with the reception following at the Acadian Ballroom. They are such a fun couple and we had an awesome day with them! We met them at the Governor Hotel where they got ready, then the couple with the whole bridal party hopped on the party bus and went to the Treasure Building downtown. We stopped by the park blocks for some more shots on the way to the church. Maria and Kurt included Kurt’s two little girls in their service by performing a sand ceremony uniting the new family. After the ceremony, the party really started at the Acadian! Instead of the traditional first dance, the couple did an MMA fight night number, complete with boxing gloves and a hilarious montage of songs with some funky moves for each. The night finished up with a sparkler exit to Maria’s new orange Dodge Challenger!

The couple had some awesome vendors including Lillypilly, our own wonderful wedding florist! I say it every time, but Wendy and Lindsi are amazing. Scott and Amanda with Ambient Sky (yup, our own wonderful wedding videographers!) shot the video and did a same day edit, which they showed at the reception. A same day edit is a short film of the wedding day from the preparations through the ceremony which is actually shown at the reception! It is truly amazing and a huge surprise for all the guests. We are the first and currently the ONLY senior portrait studio in the country to offer stylized music videos created from your senior portrait session.

Ambient Sky Studios will join us for your senior photo shoot and capture the experience in HDV. Then the editing team goes to work to create a 2 – 3 minute personal stylized music video using your favorite song and you as the star. You will then receive multiple versions of the video on standard DVD, a data DVD with the HD version as well as a coded version to upload to your myspace or youtube.

Your video session will cover about an hour of your senior portrait session or you can have the entire shoot covered. Call for details and pricing.

Miss Oregon 2007 – Kari Virding

We recently had an AWESOME photo session with Kari Virding, Miss Oregon 2007. Her Miss America send off party was at BMW Motorcycles in Tigard Oregon in January. The team at BMW were very generous and brought a bike down to use during part of Kari’s shoot. Kari was so much fun to work with and we wish her the very best of luck.

Kari’s platform is the amazing Make-A-Wish Foundation®. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
