At the beginning of October we shot Ben and Cassy’s wedding in McMinnville, OR. The next weekend we headed to Playa del Carmen, Mexico to shoot Roxy & Dan’s wedding. It worked out perfectly as Ben & Cassy were honeymooning in Cancun, about 45 minutes north of Playa! We arranged to do a “honeymoon shoot” while we were there. Other than the fact that is was insanely hot and humid, we had a great time. There are so many cool walls and buildings to shoot against! We walked down Fifth Avenue then headed to the beach. Here are some of our favorites from the shoot…

On June 6th we shot Marissa & Zach’s wedding at St. Mary Magdalene Church with their reception at Riverside Golf & Country Club. We started the day at the Jansen Beach Residence and Fairfield Inns for the getting ready shots. Marissa looked amazing in her Justin Alexander gown and retro veil. We went to St. John’s Park to get some romantic shots of the two of them then headed to the church. Jordan from Blum Floral Design created the fabulous bouquets, church and reception flowers. It was the first time we had been to Riverside Country Club and it was gorgeous! The food was SO good and the service was stellar. Beaverton Bakery created her cake with green beads, the first time I have seen beads used like that on a wedding cake. There was plenty of dancing to a live band, headed by Marissa’s uncle, and even 96yr old grandma got down and danced the night away!

We had a fabulous time today shooting Jennifer and Khirsten, two GORGEOUS models from the Aveda Institute and Dosha Salon. We set up the shoot for Kimberly, the director for Aveda, who needed some fashion shots to submit to Willamette Weekly for their best beehive contest. How can they lose with looks like these?! Judy was the amazing stylist who created both do’s. The girl’s makeup was done by Stephanie, who is truly an artist!

We shot Kim & Matt’s wedding last weekend at The Resort at the Mountain in Welches, Oregon. It was the perfect day for an outdoor wedding and reception in the tent! Kim wore a strapless ivory lace gown and Chelsea from Event Cosmetics did a fabulous job enhancing an already gorgeous bride! Lora from Lora’s Floral in Gresham create beautiful hand tied bouquets in orange tones, which looked great against the girls teal bridesmaids dresses. They wore matching orange heels which were hot! Melissa from Sweet Cakes created the wedding cake, who we, as cake connoisseurs, have to tell you is one of the greatest bakers in Portland!

The Resort at the Mountain has completely remodeled the lobby and all of the guest rooms since we were there last. We cleared off the check in desk, and had Kim hopped up there for a few shots. One thing that hasn’t changed at the Resort though is that food and service were outstanding as always.

Last Saturday we shot Heather and Fred’s engagement session. We started at the Rose Gardens then headed to the Pearl for some urban shots. We found a new spot to shoot and LOVE the results. Heather and Fred are so much fun! They have a great time together which you can totally see if the pictures. Here are some of our favorites from the shoot!
