Justin and I attended a great lighting seminar last Friday. Master Photographer Lou Szoke and his wife Theresa flew out from their studio in Illinois to present a seminar to the Portland Metropolitan Photographer’s Association on Hollywood lighting. Hollywood lighting is the style used in the 20′s, 30′s and 40′s and was used to photograph all the big movie stars of that era. We are going to be introducing that style as a new portrait session within the next few months.
We purchased some of the special lighting that is required and took one of the lights with us to Brittany and Darrick’s wedding last Saturday. We got some really great images. Brittany is gorgeous and her look was perfectly suited to the old Hollywood style. Here are a few of the pictures from their wedding. The reception was at the Portland Art Museum which is a beautiful venue. We were also happy to do our first wedding of 2008 with our good friends at Ambient Sky Studios!
