Mr Gordon the Greyhound

So here is Mr Gordon the Super Jet a.k.a.”Gordon” or “Poopsy” or “Puffer” or “Mr Puff (he puffs his cheeks out while breathing…). We adopted Gordon through Greyhound Pets of America Northwest, a wonderful organization dedicated to finding new homes for these beautiful animals that either “fail to qualify or no longer qualify for the racetrack”. Greyhounds are amazing pets and deserve a chance to continue their life after racing.

So since the loss of our dear Chosen One (the fabled King of Cats…) we decided we would like a dog to join our family. After much research and a couple of heart breaks (all for the better good) we ended up choosing to adopt a Greyhound. Contrary to popular belief, Greyhounds are super mellow, low energy, clean & friendly pets.

In our line of work, it was important to have a pet that would fit in with our busy lifestyle and not require constant attention. We enjoy walking in the morning and vegging on the couch at night. Gordon is the perfect compliment to our family. “45 mile per hour couch potato” is a widely used phrase amongst the Greyhound community and boy, is it fitting! He is so mellow, he can join us at the studio every day and be no trouble at all. We have had him with us for almost 4 weeks he is fitting in nicely. They can be a little stand offish, shy and timid at first but he is warming up and enjoying his new life as Dog of the Manor.
